Q. How many sessions will i need to become a non smoker?
A. Most people find they have stopped smoking altogether after just one session
of hypnosis, but others need two or three sessions. It varies and depends on
the individual, their smoking history and state of mind. Ask yourself
whether you really want to quit or if you are ready NOW before you
try hypnosis.

Q. What else can I expect after I finish my hypnotherapy sessions?
A. During your hypnotherapy sessions you will have been taught about self-hypnosis which you will continue to do over a long period of time. In addition, your progress will be reviewed and you will be set some self hypnosis exercises to do in between sessions which will help maintain any hypnosis you have already had. So it doesn't end after your hypnotherapy sessions end!


Q. What if I can't be hypnotized?
A. Deep relaxation is the key to achieving hypnosis. Anyone who can feel
relaxed or who finds themselves daydreaming or deeply engrossed in a task
(such as reading, playing a musical instrument) can be hypnotized.
There are degrees of the hypnotic trance state, and even a light trance can
be enough to have an effect.
However, there may be specific reasons why hypnosis should not be used and
this can be discussed at the free consultation.

Q. Do I have to believe in hypnosis for it to work?
A. It helps to believe in anything that you do. Hypnosis is a natural state and
when you are sufficiently relaxed, you will be more self aware and more
focussed. There is nothing strange about hypnosis. It is a normal state which
people experience many times a day.

Q. I want to build my confidence and self esteem. Can i expect this to happen
immediately?

A. If you want to build up your muscles you would go off to the Gym or
exercise frequently until you achieved the body you desire. The same applies
to the use of hypnosis. Frequent exercises bring good, lasting results.

Q: I suffer with anxiety which is affecting my life. Can i expect hypnosis to be a quick-fix 'cure'?
A: Anxiety is quite complex and for it to be eradicated, then the root cause must be discovered and treated. There is no point in just treating the symptoms (i.e. panic attacks, phobias, etc.) with suggestions, as this may bring only temporary relief. Hypno-Analysis is the best way to do deal with anxiety, although the process takes time and requires effort, it is very effective.
